EXPERIENCE

DTREDS, Frederick, MD, 10/12-Present, MCA Telecom Reviewer. Conducted professional engineering reviews, provided engineering and technical assistance, created accurate ISCEs, and provided technical writing for IS/IT in support of Military Construction Army, Military Construction Army Reserves and Standard Repair/Maintenance (MCA/MCAR/SRM) and other MILCON construction programs. Provided reviews of the (IS/IT) subsystems of these MILCON projects at multiple points during the engineering, design, and construction phases, developing IS/IT Cost Estimations (ISCEs). Provided technical support to USAISEC-FDED Government personnel during Design Reviews/Charrette and Army Standing Committee meetings.

I provided thorough engineering/design/technical reviews of each Request For Proposal (RFP), Project Locking Notices and/or design review package; including, but not limited, to Charrette reports, Concept reviews, Project Definition Reports, Value Engineering Studies and Project Amendment reviews; each was completed and submitted by or before the suspense date designated on each tasking. I provided all RFP’s and/or review packages with a cover letter in email format, comments in DrChecks format uploaded to Project Extranet (ProjNet), and ISCEs as required. Provide technical assistance to CONUS/OCONUS operation and maintenance (O&M) activities when directed. Ray Communications, VA 1994-1996 Technician. Performed various telecommunications construction of inside/outside plant infrastructure. Installed configured LAN hardware to include Hubs, Routers, NICs and Modems. Constructed the frame, installed and configured the switch (MITEL SX-2000 both copper and fiber models). Provided certification of facilities grounding by a gall of potential method testing. Conducted site surveys and needs analysis. Created as-built and redlined drawings. Terminated and tested Fiber Optic cable. Insured compliance with standards for CAT-5 and CAT-3 UTP. Responsible for the installation of inside/outside fiber and copper cabling system.  This included terminations from telecommunication closets to desktop.  Tested fiber cables using the OTDR and WaveTech methods. Installed Nic cards to upgrade networking system for various VA centers.  Assisted with programming of servers and printers to a new networking system.
